GRILLED PORK CHOPS WITH CHERRY BALSAMIC THYME REDUCTION
Grilled Pork Chops with Cherry Balsamic Thyme Reduction
- Prep Time10 min
- Cook Time30 min
- Total Time40 min
INGREDIENTS
- 3/4 cup The Toasted Oat Cherry Streusel Soft Granola
- 1/2 cup goat cheese crumbles
- 4 pork chops
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- Salt & pepper to season
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted & halved or quartered
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp. fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 to 2 tbsp. honey
INSTRUCTIONS
1
Simmer the balsamic vinegar in a small pot over medium-low heat until it is reduced to a syrupy consistency.
2
Set aside (or immerse bottom of the pan in cold water) to cool the reduction. Add cherries & thyme & allow mixture to stand while grilling the pork chops.
3
Preheat grill. Season the pork chops with salt & pepper and rub the outside of the chops with one clove of the minced garlic (half).
4
Grill the pork chops until fully cooked — a meat thermometer should reach 160 degrees Fahrenheit at the center. This could take 10-22 minutes depending on the thickness of the pork chop & the range of heat.
5
Top pork chops with cherry-balsamic mixture. Sprinkle on goat cheese crumbles & Cherry Streusel Soft Granola.
